I come from a family of CAREgivers. My father and a grandfather were doctors, and I have a sister, several aunts and an uncle that are retired nurses. I have admired what they have done from afar and now I am ready to be in health CARE too. After a 30-year CAREer in the corporate world, I became a Certified Nurse Assistant, a Home Health Aide and Home CARE Aide. I love the positive impact that providing compassionate CARE to those in need helps the community, so I also teach CARE skills at a nursing school.
Both my mother and her mother wanted to stay in their respective homes after their mobility was impacted. My grandmother was fortunate to find a CAREgiver that wanted to live with her. Years later, I was called upon to help my mother find an in-home CARE giver. I called many agencies and could not find one that offered a flexible plan that suited my mother’s needs.
Since I have a passion for improving things (formerly with software) and enjoy coaching and mentoring, I decided to open up ameriCARE Beach Cities to build individualized CARE plans that will improve the physical, mental, and social lives of the elderly and physically challenged - so other families will not have to go through the same experience I did.
I am an active member in my community through my church, with a focus on feeding and clothing the unhoused. My wife, Jessica, and I have been married since July 1995 and enjoy building things together. We are dedicated parents to three wonderful adult children. I hold Bachelor and Master degrees from Brigham Young University.
