Amanda Neuendorf

Amanda Neuendorf

President / Owner

Amanda Neuendorf, President and Co-Owner of ameriCARE Birmingham, is a driven and successful relationship manager with a heart for serving. Amanda graduated from Troy University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, and her career development spans more than 20 years. Accountability and maintaining trustworthy connections have always been a key focus in Amanda’s line of work with the University of Southern Mississippi, the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham, and most recently the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Being raised across the street from her grandparents, Amanda learned how important it is we CARE for those we love. She brings this passion with her to ameriCARE. Amanda and her husband Mike are the proud parents of three young men, Sellers, Gabe and Beck. Amanda serves on the Correctional Ministry Team through The Church of the Highlands where they are members.

Vice President / Owner

Mike is the Vice President and Co-Owner of ameriCARE Birmingham.  He loves seeing the difference that service can bring to the lives of others.  Whether through a simple word or a smile, or through providing assistance in navigating today’s complex healthcare environment, Mike feels true reward in helping others.

A Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, Mike’s leadership in healthcare spans more than 23 years.  He most recently served as the CEO of the 505-bed Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, AL and the 267-bed Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper, AL.  Prior to this, he served in Hattiesburg, MS as Merit Health Wesley’s Chief Executive Officer for nine years. Mike earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech and his Master of Science in Health Administration from UAB. He served in the United States Army as a member of the Alabama and Georgia National Guard from 1992 to 2003 where he was a medical evacuation pilot, unit mobilization officer and unit weapons qualification officer.

Before joining the Merit Health Wesley team, Mike served as CEO at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center in Foley, Alabama, served as the director of internal consulting at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham and also worked with VHA Consulting Services and Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center in Anniston, AL.

In his spare time, Mike enjoys any adventure outdoors with his family including but not limited to flying, hunting, woodworking or a walk in the woods.
