Tara has worked for over 20 years in the areas of elder CARE, advocacy, and counseling. Prior to starting ameriCARE Mid-Atlantic, she worked as an activities director in multiple assisted living facilities and as a CARE services ombudsman in the state of Maryland. Tara’s work with clients’ memory, direct, and ambulatory CARE provides a wealth of experience and perspective. Tara’s passion is ensuring that clients and their families receive the absolute best services to maximize their independence and quality of life. She holds an M.A. from Towson University, and has completed the National Patient Advocacy Foundation (NPAF) certification to better serve and advocate for her clients.

Steven has been in the healthCARE field for over 20 years. He has held leadership positions at some of the largest and most prestigious bio-pharma consulting firms and medical schools in the industry. He has a passion for healthCARE and empowering clients to stay comfortable in their own homes while receiving exceptional CARE. He has expertise in many therapeutic areas including arthritis, memory CARE, diabetes, MS, and mobility. He holds a Ph. D. from the University of Maryland, College Park and an M.A. from Towson University.

I met Lupita while having lunch with Margaret Sutton. She worked at the restaurant and was so kind and attentive to Mr Sutton and his needs. As I got to know her, I realized she was a natural CAREgiver with a HUGE passion for caring. She expressed her desire to help others, her desire to make a difference, and asked for help on where to start. I was happy to guide her to her passion! 1 month later, Lupita has left her restaurant job, came on full time with us and Mr. Sutton, and she is doing a magnificent job! She goes above and beyond. She has been through rough and combative days with Mr. Sutton and she was so calm and composed through it all. She shows grace and love to everyone and that is such a fundamental characteristic to hold. Lupita has been hands on since taking her first shift and she is truly a diamond in the rough! From taking them to countless doctor visits across town, to taking Mr. Sutton out to movies, and keeping Ms. Sutton happy and rested as she is continuously stressed and it directly affects her health. Throughout his CAREer, Steve has provided companies with executive-level leadership that is focused on growth or new market entry. He holds a degree in Management from California State University, Fullerton, and has more than 30 years of experience in executive leadership positions that span the high-tech industry to the alternative energy markets. With a history of successful experience and business acumen, combined with a long-term passion for coaching and developing high-performance teams, Steve brings both leadership perspective as well as operational excellence to companies seeking to take that next step in growth. He served in leadership roles with high tech SaaS-based companies, including five early phase companies, prior to a 10+ year CAREer in the renewable energy markets with clean energy companies. Most recently, he worked with Enel X and their EaaS software platform.⠀

In late 2019, Steve chose a path to provide home CARE services for those in need. Having taken in his mother-in-law in 2018, he quickly began to see the need for a deeper empathy towards our seniors in need. While researching several investments, including launching one of his own, he chose to partner with the leader in home healthCARE, AmeriCARE, and purchased the rights to the Silicon Valley area.⠀

Steve has lived in Morgan Hill for over 20 years and has watched the sleepy town grow over time. With this growth came challenges for the community. The healthCARE services provided by the city were being stretched to new levels and the focus on healthCARE was having a difficult time keeping up with the growth. From his desire to help others, he opened AmeriCARE Silicon Valley in Morgan Hill to service all of Santa Clara County. I joined AmeriCARE in December of 2021 and prior to that I was a student at San Jose State University where I obtained my Bachelor’s in Communication Studies. I currently live in Santa Cruz with my fiancé and our three dogs. I come from a family full of hard-working individuals and I am very passionate about getting others the help they need. Growing up, my dad had MS and I took on the role of being his CAREgiver. After taking CARE of my dad, I realized that I wanted to work in the healthCARE industry and helps others get the proper assistance they need.
