For many of us in the United States, military service touches our lives, whether through family, friends, or our communities. Our veterans have sacrificed so much and genuinely deserve our heartfelt gratitude, compassion, and care. Sadly, many of these brave individuals feel isolated and face daily challenges with tasks most of us take for granted, like preparing meals, keeping up with household chores, or managing their own wellbeing.
As veterans grow older, it becomes more important to provide the support they need to remain independent at home. After years spent in service to our country, these individuals deserve dignity, comfort, and attentive care. By investing in the health of our senior veterans, we help them enjoy a higher quality of life and honor their commitment to us all.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) recognizes these needs and provides veterans home care funding in Mansfield, TX, to assist servicepeople and their loved ones. What many families don't realize is that long-term care options - including in-home care - are included in programs like ameriCARE's Veteran CARE services.
Today, many of our veterans are vulnerable to a variety of issues that can impact their quality of life. However, through our Veteran CARE services, we're able to provide customized, compassionate care that addresses those issues and provides families like yours with peace of mind. Whether they're returning from combat with new health challenges or simply need an extra hand throughout the day as they age, our team is here to help.
Our agency owners are dedicated to guiding veterans through the process of accessing their benefits and understanding their eligibility. This important service, available at many of our franchise locations, empowers veterans to overcome the often confusing world of entitlements. With empathy and expertise, we strive to honor veterans by delivering personalized care and knowledgeable guidance, supporting them in living fuller, more independent lives.
The VA offers valuable benefits that include coverage for home health aide and homemaker services to veterans who require help with daily living activities. Through collaboration with one of our care partners, we learned that, out of more than 8 million veterans in the VA healthcare system aged 65 and older, only about 150,000 are utilizing this support. This means fewer than 2 percent of eligible veterans are getting the care they've rightfully earned. In some cases, such as with "Aid and Attendance," surviving spouses of veterans may also be eligible for benefits.
ameriCARE is committed to linking veterans and seniors nationwide with compassionate, highly trained caregivers from their own communities. We're proud to say that our mission goes beyond care - in fact, we're happy to help guide veterans and their families through the complexities of the VA system, offering hands-on support during the entire approval process. Many of our franchise owners team members are veterans themselves, who are dedicated to ensuring you or your loved one receives reliable, personalized care at home.
Regardless of how long they served, many military veterans leave service with a litany of health issues - both mental and physical. Some of the most common problems that older veterans face after leaving the military include
Research from the National Center for PTSD reveals that as many as 23% of veterans will experience post-traumatic stress disorder during their lifetime. For some, symptoms may not surface until later years, often following retirement. Notably, the development or worsening of PTSD in older adults has been linked to an increased risk of dementia, suggesting a complex relationship between trauma and cognitive decline as veterans age.
A recent study featured in the National Library of Medicine examined the prevalence of malnutrition among older veterans receiving home-based primary care. The researchers discovered that 15% of these individuals were classified as malnourished, highlighting a significant health concern within this population. Malnutrition in elderly veterans can lead to a range of complications, such as weakened immune response, slower recovery from illness, and increased risk of hospitalization. These issues underscore the need for veterans home care funding in Mansfield, TX that helps seniors with eating and nutrition challenges.
Studies show that older veterans face a 25% higher likelihood of reporting multiple chronic health issues compared to their nonveteran peers. This trend underscores the unique health challenges veterans may encounter as they age, which often stem from service-related injuries, stress, and more.
Veterans often carry the weight of their service, having endured challenging circumstances and shouldered responsibility for the security of others. As they grow older, preserving their sense of independence becomes deeply intertwined with their mental and emotional health. For many, shifting from self-reliance to accepting help with everyday activities can be a significant adjustment.
A skilled caregiver who understands veterans' unique backgrounds can make this transition smoother. Building trust through respect for personal boundaries, clear communication, and trauma-informed care is essential to fostering a strong partnership between veterans and their in-home caregivers.
Many ameriCARE locations provide their caregivers with specialized training to better support our veterans as veteran cases can be complex and deserve tailored care.
Our caregivers offer support with meal preparation, grocery shopping, and managing dietary needs. They also encourage healthy habits and lifestyle choices, ensuring you or your loved one receives personalized nutrition and wellness guidance.
Tasks like bathing, using the restroom, getting dressed, and maintaining oral hygiene can become challenging because of aging or ongoing health conditions. Our dedicated caregivers are specially trained to assist with these personal routines and always prioritize the veteran's comfort, privacy, and self-esteem.
A tidy living space does more than promote good hygiene. It fosters a sense of comfort, security, and overall wellbeing. Our caregivers help with everyday household tasks, making sure your home remains a safe, inviting, and organized environment.
When driving becomes a challenge, whether for you or a veteran family member, our caregivers step in to help. They can handle errands such as grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, ensuring appointments are kept, and providing reliable support for many other daily needs.
In-home caregivers from ameriCARE are dedicated to supporting your loved one's mobility and safety. From accompanying them on short walks to guiding them through physical therapy routines, we help promote regular movement and keep them engaged in activities that support their health and independence.
Our caregivers foster engagement by offering gentle support and uplifting encouragement. We create opportunities for veterans to participate in enriching activities, make social connections, and develop genuine bonds with their in-home caregivers.
We can accompany you or the older veteran in your life to medical appointments. We can also help relay any information or instructions provided by doctors.
Coping with the effects of aging, disability, or recovery from injury often involves juggling multiple medications with specific timing and dosages. Our caregivers can help ensure that you or your veteran loved one receives the correct medications at the right times, providing peace of mind while supporting overall health.
Our comprehensive care extends to beloved pets as well. We can assist with daily dog walks, feeding routines, arranging transportation for vet visits, and maintaining pet hygiene. By helping with day-to-day chores like pet care, we help enhance the wellbeing of senior veterans and their animal companions.
While many veterans have a primary care physician or a home health care professional, they may still need a real human connection beyond medical care. Veteran-funded home care can help you or your loved one maintain a more balanced life, one visit at a time. That's where ameriCARE comes in. We work tirelessly to connect dedicated, welltrained, and dependable caregivers to veterans across the United States.

The DFW-03 data center campus is a planned digital infrastructure development proposed for Mansfield, Texas. The project is intended to expand data center capacity in the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area and support demand for cloud computing and artificial intelligence workloads.
Aligned Data Centers has announced plans to develop the campus on a 27-acre site in Mansfield. The facility will form part of the company’s broader presence in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex.
According to the company, the new campus is expected to incorporate its data center design and cooling technologies and will contribute to its overall operational capacity. Aligned Data Centers indicated that the facility is targeted to become operational by the fourth quarter of 2025.
Other than the Aligned data centers DFW-03 campus in Mansfield, Texas is also seeing the Crusoe data center campus in Abilene, Texas take shape.
Oracle has refuted claims that it has scrapped expansion plans on its $15 billion Crusoe data center campus in Abilene, Texas. The company noted the media coverage of the situation as false and incorrect following a report by Bloomberg. In a post on X, the company clarified that it and the developer Crusoe are “operating in lockstep.” Moreover, it noted they are doing this with the aim of delivering one of the world’s largest data centers at the site.
The post also noted that two buildings are already fully operational and the rest of the campus is on track. Bloomberg had noted that Oracle and OpenAI had abandoned plans to almost double the Abilene facility’s capacity. The scope entailed doubling it from 1.2 gigawatts to roughly 2 gigawatts. The report also noted the abandonment occurred after months of negotiations over financing and OpenAI’s shifting demands forecast.
Aligned’s new data center in Mansfield, Texas, lying in the DFW-03 site, will greatly benefit from what the company has already set up. These include its modular infrastructure, the development of prefabricated components, and easy on-site deliveries. According to Aligned Data Centers, this favors sustainability and quality at the desired expense of high risk and cost.
Speaking of the mentioned revolution, Aligned has a line of highly commended air and liquid cooling technologies. These will help in the running of the data center and the management of the facility’s regulated internal environment. Also, according to the Alinged Data Centers, the two types of cooling systems can be used separately, interchangeably, or as a hybrid system. With the latter, supported densities can go past 350 kW – with speed, scale, and quality at the forefront.
The Dallas-Fort Worth ranks as the third-largest data center market globally – according to Cushman & Wakefield. This could be attributed to Texas’ self-contained power grid serving a single state. This is the only one in the U.S., and this saves on electricity costs per kW.
Also noteworthy is that Texas leads in decarbonization efforts in the U.S. This is according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. This means more clean energy for the data center. This combination makes data center expansion projects like Aligned’s DFW-03 in Mansfield, Texas worthwhile.
Aligned Data Centers new data center in Texas will also serve the indirect customer. (This set benefits from the direct customers to the data center).
In partnership with the city of Mansfield, “Roots for Future Fund” will see to the planting of native tress in the local area. This will help in the usual ways trees help – shade, cleaner air quality, and sustainability!
Michael Evans, the city’s mayor made the following statement, “With the Roots for the Future Fund, the company is adding another stitch to the fabric of Mansfield as a neighbor and community leader.”
Andrew Schaap, CEO of Aligned, was also enthusiastic of the DFW-03 project. “The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex provides the ideal foundation for Aligned’s continued expansion, […]” he said.
The company also has data center campuses in Latin America and Canada.

The City of Mansfield is thrilled to announce the grand opening of Geyer Commons has been scheduled for Friday, Feb. 27 at 5 p.m. This new 2-acre park in the heart of Historic Downtown includes two event lawns, a pavilion and seating, a lighted splash pad, and the uniquely-Mansfield cottage market space.
This complex project was developed over a number of years, with input from current and former City Councils, community leaders, Mansfield ISD leadership, municipal development experts, and other stakeholders. Their collaborative hard work, ambition and visionary leadership that have created an entirely new way for Mansfield residents to gather, grow, preserve and play together that supports and activates downtown with a central gathering space, encourages local small business growth, and improves residents’ overall quality of life while keeping a small-town feel with a a uniquely-Mansfield destination.
The site was originally home to Mansfield's first lighted little league ball field for little league play, with the school donating the land and City paying construction and maintenance costs. That unique blend of the two entities created more than a baseball diamond, but a community hub, a central location that would be home to festivals, town hall meetings, and countless precious memories. As the City expanded, it quickly outgrew the small field, which sat empty and unused for decades.
Geyer Commons not only honors the property’s historic past, it reclaims its space as a central hub of community gatherings for the future. With future phases, additional landmark properties will be relocated and/or reconstructed, and the historic Mansfield High School, Rock Gym and gazebo activated as well, breathing new life into these important parts of our community history and allowing a new generation to experience and appreciate them as a dynamic, uniquely Mansfield destination.

Following the grand opening festivities, Geyer Commons will be host to events and activities for all ages and interests throughout the year, hosted by the City as well as community partners. Click here to learn more about how your business can participate by hosting or sponsoring an event/class.

Mansfield's Mayor said he's confident they'll beat the clock to finish their new stadium, just named one of two base camp sites in North Texas for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
On Tuesday, the North Texas FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee announced that FC Dallas' Toyota Stadium and Mansfield Stadium have been officially designated as 2026 FIFA World Cup team base camp training sites.
Two of the final six remaining qualified national teams will be assigned by FIFA to train and operate at the two venues.
Team base camp training sites are the primary training and operational headquarters for teams throughout the tournament, according to the North Texas FWC organizing committee.
“We're just we're just going nuts here in Mansfield," said Masnfield Mayor Michael Evans.
We are 99 days out until match day and, according to Mansfield Stadium's general manager, Scott Norton, about 92 days until a team is expected to land at the stadium for practice.
"It will just depend on their kind of their budget and their timeline and when the coach wants to be here," he said.
In a tour of the facility on Wednesday, concrete was still being poured and paint still being applied. But Evans said he expects the stadium to be finished with construction over the next few weeks.
"100% ready," Evans said.
He also expects the $88 million venue to bring in $15 to $40 million as a base camp.
"All the people are going to be affected by this, it's really a boom," he said.
Evans said having a team there will bring lots of fans, which translates to customers for local businesses.
"If they come expecting, boots and, cowboy hats, they're going to get that in Mansfield," he said.
Norton pointed to a lot of features that he thinks led to their pick over other potential base camps.
"The biggest thing is, you know, natural grass field, which is what they, always want. The fact that it's got some privacy to it, the fact that it's got four locker rooms. It was designed very soccer-specific for that," he said. "And then all the technology, ubiquitous Wi-Fi, LED lights, all of the kind of bells and whistles that these, entities expect, from a modern age stadium."
Norton said they've been talking to several FIFA departments on a daily basis.
"Site visits, you know, analysis of the field, security measures," he explained.
Evans said FIFA will be handling some costs.
"Our law enforcement, folks of that nature, our entertainment group, our tourism group... they've been meeting with FIFA personnel and, yeah, a lot of those things are being taken care of. And in regard to those expenses, a lot of them should be shared expenses, and we feel good about it," he said.
Evans sees it as a new era for the city.
“You are looking at the next great thing to take place here in Mansfield, Texas," he said. "We were known years ago for a rodeo arena... here we are now, moving from, bucking broncos and that's gone away, to now actually playing professional soccer, here in town.”
He said the stadium will be used long after the World Cup for other sports like cricket and rugby, and other events, like concerts. Mansfield Stadium is also the future home of North Texas Soccer Club.
Under the current qualification structure, Mansfield Stadium will host the winner of UEFA Play-Off Path D. The national teams competing in that pathway are:
